Breakfast Club

We have a Breakfast Club managed by SCL which runs from 8am to Registration every morning. Children are given breakfast and offered a range of activities to get them ready for the school day.

Club Energy

Club Energy is a multi-activity programme that will stimulate and challenge your children physically and mentally. It teaches girls and boys about the three core areas of PE as outlined in the National Curriculum at Key Stage 1 and 2, which are movement to music (dance), gymnastics, ball skills and co-ordination. Each Club Energy session includes a variety of games and is structured to include a warm-up, main activity games and a cool-down, with classes taking place outside when the weather permits. Contact SCL on 0845 644 5747  or visit for more details.

 Football Club

SCL's Soccer Club helps boys and girls of all abilities improve their football skills, with the emphasis on fun and enjoyment in a non-competitive environment. Our coaches deliver structured sessions to introduce a different aspect of football every week through enjoyable, imaginative games. Each session includes a warm-up, skill-focused activity and mini matches. SCL's qualified, experienced coaches are experts in ensuring children enjoy and learn in a fun, safe environment. Contact SCL on 0845 644 5747 or visit for more details.

French Club

If your child likes playing games, singing songs and colouring, then Le Club Français is the ideal place for them to learn French. We meet every Tuesday for an hour after school in the hall to have fun while we learn French.

Chess Club

Chess Club is open to all Year 2 pupils. The children are taught the basics of chess, play games against each other and enter a National Competition at the end of the year. Past pupils have become County Champions in their age group and now represent Hampshire in National Competitions. We feel chess is an important part of our school, as it teaches logical thinking, patience and is an international game which children can continue to play throughout their lives.

Recorder Club

Recorder club will take place at lunchtime for Year 2 children. We learn a variety of fun pieces and, as well as playing regularly to the school in assembly, we work towards a concert for parents in the summer term.

Choir takes place in school time. We perform in assemblies, in the Christmas Carol Service and the Summer Concert.

Library Club - Hooked on Books

Mrs Tamblin and Mrs Blewitt run a library club on a Wednesday lunch time. This is an opportunity to use the books in the library, sit down and read for pleasure. Our club encourages a love of books and a chance to read something new. We have older children that are our readers and these help the younger children to access the books.

Wild Things - Wildlife Club

Wild Things is run by Mr West, Mrs Cox and Mrs Lochead on selected Thursdays after school. The club will focus on a range of wildlife topics based around fun activities, enjoying nature and the great outdoors. See the Wild Thing article below for more details.
