Governor Biographies - Leadership

Chair of Governors

Alison Collier

I have lived in Hook with my husband Mark since 1995 and have one child, undertaking A levels at Farnborough Sixth Form College. I initially stood for Parent Governor about 11 years ago, with previous experience as Secretary at Hook Village Nursery and have always shown a deep interest in my child's activities and education.

I have worked for the past 16 years, for a local IT company in a finance capacity and more recently as an Operations Manager. Over this time I have gained vast industry experience and wish to contribute these business skills, with my thirst for knowledge, to helping Hook Infant School's visions and goals.

I enjoy reading and cooking, together with a new found interest for growing fruit and vegetables.

Headteacher

Mrs Walker

I came to Hook Infant school in 1993 to join the Senior Leadership Team. I became Deputy Headteacher of Hook Infant School in 2006 and was subsequently seconded to a primary school in Farnborough. I was appointed to my current role as Headteacher in September 2009. Before I came to Hook, I taught in Woking at the Hermitage First School and I also worked with the Surrey Maths Advisory Team assisting the delivery of INSET across the County. I have worked for many years as an End of Key Stage One Moderator for Hampshire, visiting schools offering advice and guidance on assessment to Year 2 teaching staff. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening and going out for meals. I am very passionate about Hook Infant School and the community which it serves, education is the gateway to life and every child deserves the best possible opportunities to fulfil their potential.

Assistant Chair and Local Education Authority Governor

Corrinne Kinge

I joined Hook Infant school as a parent governor in 1996 when my oldest daughter was in year 2 and my youngest daughter was in year R. I currently hold the position of Vice Chair of Governors, Chair of Performance Management and Vice Chair of Resources. I spent 7 years as a PTA member of my daughter’s secondary school and have been previously seconded to two different schools by the Local Authority to help restore governance to them. I work full time within a HR and Training department locally.
